When Jessica signed Emma up for Big Brothers Big Sisters, she hoped a mentor could help her open up more. Emma, a kindergartener, who says she hopes to become a doctor so she can help others, wanted someone to help with her ABCs. Donna signed up as a Big through the Bigs in Blue program that was kicked off in Fayette County in early 2017, feeling she had time to give, saying she wanted to make a difference. Matched earlier this year, Donna and Emma’s friendship is still new, but they’ve quickly connected! Donna says Emma is a joy and she looks forward to each visit… and she says they couldn’t be better matched! “She loves to be silly, she’s an active soul, and has a loyal dancing spirit who loves animals. You would think she IS my little sister!” Donna says. Emma’s mom says the match is amazing, and she doesn’t think she could have picked anyone as awesome as Mrs. Donna. She says they are blessed to have her in their lives, and we are blessed to have her as a Big!
